Clean Quiet Houston is a volunteer non profit group who’s goal is to accelerate the impending shift to cleaner, quieter, more sustainable practices in yard care. This is an effort that has already happened in more than 25 California cities and many others across the country. In fact in 2021 the state of California has banned all gasoline powered lawn equipment effective 2024. They had determined that lawn maintenance equipment produced more pollution than all the cars in the state.

This effort is modeled after the extraordinarily successful Quiet Clean DC initiative. In 2018, the nations capital city phased out gas-powered leaf blowers after obtaining consensus from 40 neighborhood organizations and unanimous vote at city council 13-0. The ban went in effect on 2022 after a 3 year phase in period.

Our focus is directed toward replacing obsolete, two-stroke gasoline powered leaf blowers with clean and quiet battery-powered equipment in an honest and transparent way. By replacing these inefficient engines we can reduce the poisonous emissions and noise pollution enveloping Houston.
